Glenn Beck is a Moron
Biph Thursday, October 1, 2009 Glenn Beck is an idiot. Plain and simple. He's been running his trap on the radio for 10+ years, and he's finally gotten enough press that now everybody knows what a complete douchebag dumbass he is. I've long known that he's an idiot with nothing to say of any meaning, but now I'm not alone. Sure, originally it was me and the "liberals" he spends his time mocking and trying to embarrass, now normal people are seeing it.
The problem began a month or two ago when he proudly proclaimed that Barack Obama is a racist, which may or may not be true, it isn't really relevant. Due to his statements he began losing sponsors on his radio and t.v. shows. Then he went on a psychotic bender intent on getting Van Jones fired, which ended in Mr. Jones quitting his post in the Obama Administration. His latest news-making action is that he is trying to shut down the website glennbeckrapedandmurderedayounggirlin1990.com, which seems reasonable, after all if someone created a website [placeyournamehere]rapedandmurderedayounggirlin1990.com, you'd be upset as well. However, unlike you, Glenn Beck is a public figure, no matter how much he would like to think of himself as a private citizen. As a minor celebrity, he needs to grow a sack and act like a man, and accept that he does not have control over the Internet and does not have a right to shut down his detractors. For a man who espouses a love of the First Amendment to the United States Constitution, his attempts to shut down the site sure do seem to be contrary to his publicly stated opinions. To anyone who has ever heard or watched his shows, this is not a surprise. Mr. Beck lives by a complex code of double standards. During the Bush Administration he accepted things that our current President is doing (vast and ginormous, out-of-control spending comes to mind), but now that it is a Democrat in the White House, they are deplorable examples of Socialism. Mr. Beck as a visceral hatred of Barack Obama, so much so that he is attacking just about everything and everyone even remotely related to Barry O. He is openly and brazenly trying to build a case that Barack Obama is not a good American, trying to get him impeached. I may not agree with Barry, but I certainly think that he should be removed from office by the voters and not by an act of Congress. Mr. Beck has 4 signature ways to make his arguments and sway the opinions and thoughts of the weak minded. 1) He will make an accusation, admit it is a rumor (even if he is starting it), say he doesn't think that it's true, then call for the person he is accusing to come out and deny it. 2) He's a brilliant self-promoter, he spends approximately 75% of his time on his radio show telling his audience that they cannot miss 1 single second of the television show over the next 47 months, because he's going to show you how the conspiracy theory is going down (or trying to sell you his latest toilet paper of a book, or go to his idiotic live stage show). 3) He makes weak jokes and laughs hysterically on the air about how stuuupid liberals are and how there's simply no arguing the other side of the story. 4) He does obnoxious voices of the idiots on the left (similar to the voices he would do when he was a morning zoo host in the '80's and '90's), this particular one has been going on a lot lately, because, as a tireless self-promoter he is trying promote his new book, Arguing with Idiots. He has another signature, but it isn't really an arguing technique. He will go on the air and talk about what a truly spiritual man he is, what a great father he is, what sacrifices he makes to get this super important message across to you the loyal American. He once told a caller that he couldn't make it to a rally (for the 9/12 project, that he started), because he was spending the weekend with his family praying and fasting. He even used Roshashana and Yom Kippur as a reason to pray and talked about it on the air, strange for a man who has said in the past that Jews make him uncomfortable. Mr. Beck's ultra-pious facade is obvious bullshit, everything he does serves one singular purpose - to make Glenn Beck money. That's why he is constantly self-promoting, it isn't out of some duty he feels to get the word out about corruption, if that were the case he would have been railing against the Bush Administration as well. He also likes to turn on the waterworks to show just how moved he is by the terrors happening to America. Basically, he's a cynical money-grubbing asshole. Lastly, and back to the current news he's making about the website he's trying to shut down, Mr. Beck claims that he is a libertarian. With a small "L", not the party, 'cause he doesn't believe in parties. Except, last time I checked the easiest way to tell a libertarian from other philosophies is simple, they don't give a rat's ass what you do, as long as you don't send them the bill, they're cool. Glenn wants everyone to do what he wants, to go back to the mythical 1960s when America was still America. When American's went to church (preferably a Mormon Temple), and men were the bread winners, and "ni**ers" knew their place. Of course, his thinned skinned lack of a sack cannot tolerate Free Speech if it is critical of him. That is why he's trying to shut down the rape site, which uses his own rhetorical style to skewer him. (Although, he does make a special point to go on his show whenever anyone makes mention of his name, and praise them [if they were complementary] or lampoon them [if they dared criticize him].) All the site he's trying to shut down does is raise the question of whether Mr. Beck raped and murdered a young girl in 1990, it does not state that he did it. As a matter of fact, the site questions the validity of the claims. But still, one has to wonder about the silence coming from Glenn Beck on the content of the site, why doesn't he just come out and prove the claims wrong? He's just trying to silence the site, but why? If he didn't do it, all he has to do is come out and publicly refute the claims. So why is he being so silent on this subject? Here is the website owner's response to Glenn Beck's attempt to shut the site down. It's quite funny. Print View Thank you for visiting biph.com.
