2 Damned Dollars a Gallon
Biph

The continual rectal abuse of the American people is getting worse every day. Recently, I purchased gasoline for $1.999 per gallon. That's $2. After taking my punishment for having a job that requires transportation to and from each day, I proceeded to go to work, to afford more gasoline to buy to go to work.

Whilst on the way to my employer, I heard on the radio, some people bitching about the gas prices, and I said, “hear, hear!”? After the brief sound-off from the people, the news people quoted some ass-clown working for the government, saying that they didn't expect prices to reach $3 a gallon, but if it happened they wouldn't be surprised.

$3 a gallon! That is flippin' insane. Who can freakin' afford $3 a gallon? Nobody can. That's more than milk. Not to mention that everything that gets shipped by truck, the companies shipping and producing will feel the pinch, and not be willing to take a cut in profits, so they'll raise the prices of every other f'ing thing that we need to survive, food, clothing, toilet paper, you name it. Hey, George Bush, you think you're out of the woods because you won the election? Think again. Talking about social security reform is all well and good, and needed, but letting oil companies tax the American people without representation, isn't right. Something NEEDS TO BE DONE.

This is one of those rare occasions that I think the government should actually step in and help the American people, I hate big government, and I'm all for capitalism, but this is insane. Oil companies control ALL consumer prices. The trickle down effect of oil prices and gasoline is 100% real. But, there's no monopoly. There is however an oil cartel, which is also illegal, but lucky for them, they aren't based in the US and are free from our laws. Our goverment could support new initiatives to reduce our dependence on foreign oil, but oil companies have highly paid lobbyists getting laws passed that benfit them, I personally can't afford my own lobbyists, so I get the shaft. Get heard, vote for a change in this crude ruled world. Call your congressman/woman, let them know that if something isn't done to protect the welfare of the American people, they'll be losing a vote, and maybe even their job. (By welfare I do not mean welfare programs).
